A collection of moments captured while traveling around Cat Ba Island, off Nha Trang and moments spent in Ha Long Bay. Days spend on the water, in the water, talking to street dogs, smiling at strangers and seeing the varied coastlines of Vietnam a second time around with fresh eyes.
I've never featured so many portraits in a blog post before. Turns out I really, really, really love taking pictures of people. Thank you to the little Vietnamese (shy!) boy, Jodi, James, Farmer & Kat for letting me stalk you all day long.
A special shout out in particular goes to Jodi not only for letting me point a camera in her direction while dressed in nothing but a towel but also for being the first person to crack my fear of being lonely in the big deep sea. I snorkelled the shit out of the ocean that day with you by my side!
All photos taken by my beloved 30d Cannon slr + handy point and shoot Lumix DMC LX3. I also use lightoom HP5 film emulator for the black and white images. I have the dermatitis to prove my love for film development, so I seriously thank you lightroom!
